Ashley here, Joli Jardin’s Social Media and PR Director (pictured above wearing the burgundy dress!) One of my most special moments working in this new role so far was experiencing Chattanooga’s fashion month. Back in June, I introduced myself in an Instagram post where I shared a little about my switch from the New York City fashion industry into a job field that aligned more with my heart’s values and desires. Throughout this blog article, you will find beautiful photos from two fashion events we…
Summer Work on the Farm
Summer time on the farm is a mixed bag. On one hand, it’s magical. Baby animals are growing, flowers are putting on a beautiful show, and everything looks lush and green. On the other hand, work days begin at 6 or 7AM because the heat by 11AM is almost unbearable. Since mid-June, we have been hit with heat advisory after heat advisory. It makes work tough! We want to invite you into the not so pretty behind the scenes moments on the farm because it…
Summer Blooms on the Farm
Summer is such an incomparable time on the farm. Morning harvests are rich, colors appear in vibrant hues, and summer rain showers pop in and out as a treat for our flowers. Our shop is overflowing with buckets showing what a little bit of summer and a whole lot of hard work brings. While our customers and shop visitors see the harvest, it isn’t always magical behind the scenes. With longer summer days comes more challenging work. Sometimes we are unable to expend our energy…
Inside The Joli Jardin Gift Shop
Our Market St. shop has become a labor of love that we are immensely proud of. We had visions of a European market, and it has been nothing short of pure joy to intentionally create a space that embodies this style of shopping. European flower shops provide an opportunity to create your own bouquet with a wide range of flowers priced per stem. A wrapped bouquet looks simply divine, appearing as though each one was carefully crafted with someone special in mind. French boutiques provide a…

Hello flower friends! My name is Ashley Barker, and I am the newest addition to the Joli Jardin team. Nice to e-meet you! One of my roles as the Marketing and PR Coordinator includes delivering behind the scenes content to readers on the blog. Christmas Gift Guide
Hello Chattanooga and beyond! I can not believe it’s the end of the year! We are busy with wreath making, dahlia digging, tulip planting, seeding trays, participating in holiday markets, and much more. We are so thankful for everyone’s support this year. I have compiled a gift guide of beautiful items available in our shop. Our shop is full of flowers, gifts from local makers and gift items from other small businesses all across the world. We truly believe in shopping small and we are…
Spooky Season
Undoubtedly, October is one of my favorite times of the year in Chattanooga. I adore Halloween. It also starts cooling off, the leaves start changing colors, and the dahlias explode to life! It’s been such a treat to be in our new shop and we knew we wanted to do a big floral piece just for this special time. We created a fun event for it at the shop and invited anyone who wanted to participate. We drank wine, snacked, and built a spooky floral…
Floral Design Workshop
We were so excited to host our first workshop in our new flower shop on Market Street. We invited Saree Silverman, a sculpture artist and floral designer, to host an ‘Intuitive Floral Design’ class this past Saturday. It was an amazing experience and we are so grateful to be able to offer educational experiences in this space. In the future, we plan on hosting more design workshops, seed starting and other gardening skills, kids workshops and more. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to learn…
Flower Shop Grand Opening
Since we have had such great feedback from our wonderful clients and customers in Chattanooga for our first brick and mortar space, we have decided to open up a permanent location on 1263 Market St. This shop will be a showcase of our flower shop dreams. It will be a European styled flower market with vintage touches and an old world charm. We have an old historic space with beautiful exposed brick. In addition to a wide selection of flowers available by the stem, we…
Floral Heart Project – Chattanooga
The Floral Heart Project was started by Kristina Libby as a way to commemorate those affected by the COVID-19 crisis. You can check out their website by visiting here. This memorial in Chattanooga will serve as an outlet for all who have been affected as a way to express their grief and as a remembrance to those that have been lost. The organization, Marked by Covid along with mayors, state legislators, and Members of Congress are taking action this March 1 as part of a…
